The 49ers have a massive job on their hands with Leeds United this summer. Club chairman Paraag Marathe himself admitted that there would be a more logical approach to the window.
Last year saw the Whites sign 10 players for £100 million.
A lot of them went on to become key first team starters that helped the club avoid relegation on their return to the Premier League.
Now, Daniel Farke’s side have it all to do again. After securing another season of top flight football, the team now have to navigate a new season. This will mean improving on the current squad.
Harry Wilson is set to be announced soon after all formalities were completed.
The midfield revamp is set to continue as the club pursues Shea Charles and Julian Brandt. Leeds will be hoping to land free agent Brandt, while Southampton are still negotiating the fee for Charles.
49ers sanction sale to Leeds United rivals
The goalkeeping situation at Leeds United has become more complicated over the past 48 hours.
Karl Darlow is now officially out of contract, and he does have a deal on the table. However, recent news has revealed that Everton have joined Manchester United in the race for the Welshman.
The 49ers have also let another goalkeeper leave this summer; Rangers have sold Jack Butland to Hull City.
Butland goes to strengthen the newly-promoted Tigers, who have been heavily linked with a move to sign Leeds forward Joe Gelhardt. As things stand, no offer has been made yet.
The statement from Rangers includes that the deal was for an undisclosed fee.

Leeds need a goalkeeper this summer
Karl Darlow is not a Leeds player anymore.
The club will now have to find a way to convince him to sign a new deal, instead of choosing another club. And this is going to be very difficult at this stage of the veteran’s career.
He could accept a backup keeper role with Manchester United or Everton, and earn higher than what he will get at Elland Road.
Or he could choose to return to Leeds, and most likely become the first choice for next season.
Regardless of this, the 49ers need to get a goalkeeper through the door ahead of next season. If Darlow does stay, a new keeper can learn from him before becoming number one.
The blow of the keeper leaving would be softened if the Whites have another capable player on the team.
