From January, Leeds United were involved in the relegation scrap in the Premier League. Despite going on an unbeaten run into the New Year, the club had not distanced themselves from the pack.
Nottingham Forest, Spurs and West Ham were the other teams struggling to beat the drop.
Daniel Farke’s men were able to continue putting points on the board, before a solid run in April all but confirmed their stay in the top flight.
The Whites turned the corner late last year, when Farke found a different way to setup his team. His formation shift made the club harder to beat, which earned them crucial points.
Leeds United rivals to make new boss one of the Premier League’s highest paid
Leeds United eventually finished in 14 place in the Premier League.
Which came as a surprise as the club were above Crystal Palace, Nottingham Forest and Tottenham alongside the relegated trio of Wolves, West Ham and Burnley.
In response to their shocking finish this past season, Forest have made a huge managerial change.
They parted ways with Vitor Pereira on Wednesday. It has now been reported by multiple outlets that Oliver Glasner will be in charge for next season.
Glasner left Crystal Palace at the end of the contract, guiding the London club to a European trophy to cap of his two year spell. The Austrian arrived in England after four years in Germany.
Per Tom Collomose, the 51-year old will sign a three-year deal and will become one of the highest-paid coaches in the league.

Nottingham Forest situation shows how 49ers should appreciate Daniel Farke
Glasner is a great hire by Nottingham Forest.
He took Palace to Europe, and they have won the FA Cup and the Europa Conference League under him. But the one of the driving factors behind his departure was how the club was run.
The London club sold two of their best players over the last year; Marc Guehi and Eberechi Eze.
This showed the owners’ ambition, and Glasner was not pleased, so he decided to leave at the end of his contract.
Daniel Farke is now in a similar situation at Elland Road. Leeds United are not necessarily selling their best players, but the first team lacks quality investment to make them competitive.
With Farke in the last year of his deal, he could opt to leave if this summer does not show any changes.
