No one would have tipped the aftermath of the Leeds United vs Man United game to make such impact.

Since that clash at Elland Road, things have gone wrong for Michael Carrick’s side for different reasons.

Even though leaving West Yorkshire with a draw was the best outcome, it only worsened the situation at Old Trafford.

Coming into the game, the Red Devils were winless in five and needed something away to Leeds.

They got a draw but what has happened since just adds to their chaotic season. Jason Cundy defended Michael Carrick and Man United for taking a draw at Elland Road. He said the result was necessary ahead of their upcoming games.

Wednesday night saw Man United embarrassed in the champions league as they lost by four goals to Como in Italy. The result has sparked even more outrage around the club, with many calling for Carrick’s head.

Telegraph Football have reported that Julian Nagelsmann is a serious candidate to take over if Carrick leaves.

As things stand, the former Man United midfielder remains in charge ahead of their game against Bournemouth this weekend.

Nagelsmann coming to the Premier League would definitely be of interest to Leeds United star Anton Stach. The former German national team boss criticized Stach before the World Cup, saying he was ‘not the best tackler’ and ‘wasn’t the strongest in the air’.

Nagelsmann also added that he preferred Stach in a role in a back three rather than midfield.

If Carrick is sacked and Nagelsmann gets the job at Old Trafford, another storyline will develop ahead of the upcoming clash between the two sides.

Latest developments only prove 49ers made the right choice

Many have forgotten that at a point in last season, Leeds were ready to pull the trigger and sack Daniel Farke.

But the board gave him time to figure things out, and the Leeds boss took the opportunity. He turned things around tactically and the team went on a strong run to end the season.

If it were any other team in the league, Farke would have been gone by November.

This only shows that the 49ers made the right choice backing the German, who has since proved his level in the Premier League.
