Leeds United signed two players on transfer deadline day to strengthen Daniel Farke’s hand following a solid start to the Premier League season.
The Whites secured a deal to sign French left-back Melvin Bard from Nice on a loan deal with an option to buy to ensure they have a backup full-back in the squad for the rest of the campaign.
Leeds also finalised a deal to sign 21-year-old winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya on loan from Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt in the final hours of the transfer window.
However, a significant revelation has emerged following the closure of the transfer window regarding a deal Leeds failed to get over the line. The player was reportedly keen on a move to Elland Road, but the transfer was ultimately blocked.

How Chelsea pushed Mykhailo Mudryk to join Tottenham
Mykhailo Mudryk joined Tottenham on loan from Chelsea on deadline day following furious speculation over his future at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea turned down two loan offers from Leeds for the Ukrainian. However, the Whites continued to push for his signature until it became clear he was on his way to Spurs on deadline day.
However, BBC Sport journalist Nizaar Kinsella said Leeds were winning the race to sign the winger, and Mudryk was super-excited about moving to Elland Road.
He stressed that Leeds did everything they could to get the deal over the line. However, Chelsea preferred to do business with Spurs as they were willing to sign both Mudryk and Tosin Adarabioyo.
Kinsella said on BBC Radio Leeds: “Certainly, for a long time Leeds were winning the race, at least in the mind of Mikhayilo Mudryk.-year-
“He was super excited about joining Leeds and the club did everything.
“I don’t think you will get anyone on Mudryk’s side who thought Leeds were not doing everything.
“Leeds were negotiating hard with Chelsea, who were trying to make it quite an expensive loan.
“They were doing everything within reason to try and get this deal done, but unfortunately, I think Chelsea wanted to do business more with Tottenham.
“It was not about Mudryk not wanting to go to Leeds, but I think it was more that Chelsea preferred Mudryk to go to Tottenham.
“And it was because Tottenham signed two players from Chelsea and solved two of their problems.”

Leeds did well on deadline day
The Whites left it late, but they managed to pull out a couple of important deals on the final day of the transfer window to improve Farke’s squad.
Leeds needed a backup left-back due to Gabriel Gudmundsson’s injury worries, and in Melvin Bard they have secured an experienced option for the team.
Farke also wanted a left-sided attacker, and in the final hours of the transfer window, the club pulled off a deal to sign the talented Jean-Matteo Bahoya from Eintracht.
It remains to be seen whether either of the two get their debut when Leeds travel to Brighton on Saturday.
