Daniel Farke will be against an old friend in Marco Rose when Leeds United face Bournemouth this weekend.

The Cherries are in great form after beating Man United in the league, and following it up with a huge win over Aston Villa in the FA Cup.

Leeds on the other hand are fresh off a goalless draw at the Stadium of Light and did not play midweek after being eliminated from the League Cup in the previous round.

Saturday will be yet another road trip for the Whites after their tough clash against Sunderland last weekend.

Leeds United sit in 7th place with 11 points from eight games so far. Just one defeat despite a very challenging start to the season. Bournemouth have now won back to back Premier League games, ending their winless streak from the start of the season.

Both sides meet with a lot on the line, and an opportunity to close the gap on the top four.

Chris Sutton thinks Leeds and Bournemouth are evenly matched, and has predicted a draw in his column on BBC Sport.

”Bournemouth are flying at the moment, with successive wins over Aston Villa, Manchester United and AC Milan.”

”Leeds are extremely well structured, however, even if they are not free-scoring this season. I am sure Daniel Farke would like his team to score more goals, but they don’t give away a lot either.”

”Bournemouth are on a great run but I wonder how much the past week has taken out of them, and that makes me think Leeds could nick a point.”

Leeds attack must make the difference this time

Daniel Farke’s men have already proven this season that they can hold up against better opponents. When Brighton and Brentford started their campaign free-scoring against teams, they could only manage one against the Whites.

Defensively, the team remains one of the most potent in the league. James Trafford’s record speaks for itself and Tarik Muharemovic has been a huge difference maker at the back.

But when Leeds go away to Bournemouth, it is the attack that needs to decide the game.

The matches against Man United and Sunderland were similar; low scoring game with not much between the sides, but Leeds found openings.

Unfortunately for them, they could not take their chances and ended up with a point in back to back games.
The players must show up on Saturday if they want a result away to the Cherries.
