Leeds United are set to take on Manchester United in a pre-season friendly in Dublin later today, but much of the club’s attention remains on the transfer market as they look to finalise their squad.
The Whites have shown plenty of ambition with their summer recruitment. Harry Wilson arrived on a free transfer before Leeds spent £34m to bring Tarik Muharemovic to Elland Road from Sassuolo.
They then broke their transfer record again last week by signing James Trafford from Manchester City for £45m, with the England international expected to become Daniel Farke’s first-choice goalkeeper.
The investment in Wilson and the £79m spent on Muharemovic and Trafford underline Leeds’ ambitions this summer. However, there is still work to do on the outgoing front, with several players who no longer feature in Farke’s plans needing to find new clubs before the window closes.

Club going against manager’s wishes in pursuit of Leeds forward
Leeds United still need to reduce the size of the squad before the transfer window closes, with Daniel Farke having several players who are no longer part of his plans.
The Whites want to add another striker, but Joel Piroe remains at Elland Road for now. They are also prepared to listen to offers for Wilfried Gnonto, who has slipped down the pecking order and is no longer viewed as a key part of the squad.
Largie Ramazani is another player Leeds are keen to move on. The winger was left out of the club’s pre-season plans, but a permanent exit has yet to materialise.
Valencia remain interested after his loan spell in Spain last season, but the two clubs have been unable to agree a deal so far, with the Spanish side unwilling to meet Leeds’ asking price.
However, according to Marca, Valencia boss Carlos Corberan is not keen to take Ramazani back to the Mestalla this summer.
He was left unimpressed by the Leeds winger towards the end of last season and wants a different winger.
But Valencia chief executive Ron Gourlay is desperately trying to sign Ramazani and has been in contact with the player.
With no other winger lined up, the Valencia chief is working to bring in the Leeds star despite the manager’s reluctance to sign him.
Largie Ramazani has to leave Leeds
Largie Ramazani’s future at Leeds United is away from Elland Road after Daniel Farke left him out of the club’s pre-season tour.
The Leeds boss rarely relied on the Belgian during their Championship campaign, and there is little to suggest his position has changed. With Harry Wilson already signed and the club still looking to strengthen on the left, Ramazani has no route back into Farke’s plans.
His absence from pre-season has also made it clear that Leeds are actively looking for a way to move him on. That puts the Whites in a difficult position at the negotiating table, with Valencia and other interested clubs aware that Leeds want to find a solution and could simply wait for their asking price to come down as the deadline approaches.
Leeds may therefore have to settle for a lower fee than they initially wanted or consider another loan if they are to finally find Ramazani a new club this summer.
