It has been very quiet in this transfer window for Leeds United. The only major business that has gone down over the last few weeks is the departure of Pascal Struijk.

The Dutch defender decided to leave the club for a new challenge, with a year left on his deal.

Leeds decided to let him go in order to ease the financial burden from PSR. Struijk will net the club some transfer revenue to balance the books ahead of what is set to be a busy summer.

There are other pressing issues at Elland Road, including the futures of some players.

Sam Byram and Karl Darlow are officially out of contract and are not Leeds players. They have contract offers on the table, so it will be up to them to decide whether they would want to stay.

Harry Wilson seen ahead of Leeds United announcement

Speaking of free agents, Leeds United agreed a deal with Harry Wilson to sign the former Fulham man on a free transfer.

Wilson will sign a long-term deal, with salary agreed and all formalities included. Leeds wanted him in the last summer window, but Fulham pulled the plug in the final moments on deadline day.

As things stand, the only thing left is for the Whites to announce the 28-year old as their new player.

In the meantime, Harry Wilson has been spotted in a training camp outside Faro, Portugal. He can be seen with other Premier League players including Matty Cash and James Maddison.

Wilson is expected to be confirmed as a Leeds player, after his contract with Fulham ended this past week.

Midfielder would be a refreshing addition to the team

Despite Dominic Calvert-Lewin having a wonderful season up top, Leeds were not the best of attacking sides.

The other attacking players rarely contributed in games.

They failed to create a lot, and in games where they needed someone to step up and create a spark, they were found wanting. Farke has spoken about having a playmaker in this side for years.

Wilson adds a lot to this Leeds side, he can create and score from midfield and attack.

This will give Daniel Farke a flexible option he can use in different areas of the pitch. The Welsh international’s experience in the top flight will also be important come next season.
