As Graham Smyth has noted in this transfer window; Leeds United have an eye on a lot of targets.
But the situation is never concrete and can change as and when. Smyth revealed that the Whites were not keen on a return for Igor Paixao after reports that Marseille were open to him leaving.
Just this week, the journalist noted that Carlos Espi is a player high on the club’s list.
This revelation came after Spanish media linked the striker with a move to the Premier League.
Espi is still in Spain with Levante, but he missed Tuesday’s training session. The club want to prevent any freak accidents and so are keeping him away from first team training as they anticipate a transfer soon.

Levante Sporting Director Hector Rodas has recently spoken to COPE Valencia over the situation.
He admitted a transfer deal is in the hands of the interested club(s) and that Levante have no control over his current situation.
“I don’t know, it doesn’t depend on us.” he said when approached for comments.

Carlos Espi is a deal that the Whites should consider
Leeds United are strengthening key areas of the team ahead of next season.
But so far, there has been no word on if a center forward remains a priority going forward. The focus so far has been finding a new goalkeeper, which is set to be James Trafford.
No one around the club really knows who the next target could be.
Carlos Espi is a wonderful prospect that could be a very good move for the 49ers.
The striker is young and has the physical profile to survive in the Premier League. He scored 12 goals in 27 games last season, and can play in a front two; making him a perfect fit alongside Noah Okafor or Calvert-Lewin.
