Jermaine Beckford has revealed what Leeds United’s Premier League rivals really think behind closed doors about Daniel Farke’s side.

Leeds sit seventh in the Premier League table after eight games, but concerns remain about their inability to turn some draws into wins.

The Whites have drawn five of their eight Premier League games, including ones against out-of-form teams such as Manchester United and Sunderland.

However, Farke’s side have looked tough to beat, and Beckford revealed what Premier League teams are really saying about them when the cameras aren’t running.

Jermain Beckford reveals Leeds United’s reputation in opposition dressing rooms

The former Leeds striker said teams that have played Leeds this season have told him what they think of Farke’s team.

He stressed that every Premier League rival worries about playing Leeds because of how organised, disciplined, and aggressive they are, with or without the ball.

“I have spoken to quite a few people from the opposition teams that we have played against”, Beckford said on BBC Radio Leeds.

“And all of them have said the same thing: we are worried about playing you guys, because you are so organised, you are so disciplined, the work ethic, the work rate, the positional sense, how you operate, in and out of possession, how aggressive you are in and out of possession.”

Sunderland felt they deserved more than a point against Leeds last weekend, but Beckford stressed they won’t be the first team to be glad to take a draw against the Whites this season.

“Sunderland won’t be the first team to get a point and be disappointed, but they also won’t be the first team to get a point and be absolutely over the moon with it.”

The Whites need to convert a few of the draws into wins

Leeds have made a reasonably solid start to the season, but five draws from their opening eight Premier League games highlight a problem Daniel Farke must address if his side are serious about challenging for European qualification.

Leeds’ resilience is admirable, particularly in difficult away fixtures, but a point is not always enough. The difference between a decent season and a genuinely memorable one often comes down to turning those draws into wins. Two extra victories would transform their points tally and put them in a much stronger position.

Leeds cannot afford to become a team that is difficult to beat but equally difficult to rely on for three points. If Europe is the ambition, they need to start showing more ruthlessness in tight games.
