Leeds United have made a huge decision on the future of one of their star men, Tarik Muharemovic, amid interest from the Premier League and Europe.
The Whites signed Muharemovic from Sassuolo in the summer for a deal worth more than £34m, and the Bosnian centre-back has been one of the transfer window’s biggest signings.
He has settled seamlessly into English football and emerged as one of the Premier League’s best defenders after the first couple of months of the campaign.
Muharemovic’s rapid rise in England this season has drawn interest from several big clubs across Europe and the Premier League, and Leeds now face a major decision.

Leeds decide on the future of Tarik Muharemovic

Bayern Munich have been heavily linked with a move to sign the centre-back. However, some suggest they are not looking to sign him for now.
Premier League giants Liverpool have been keeping tabs on him. However, according to TeamTalk, Inter and Barcelona are working the hardest behind the scenes to line up a move for Muharemovic.
The Serie A giants wanted to sign him when he left Sassuolo for Leeds last summer and are again pushing to see whether he would be keen to arrive at the San Siro.
Barcelona are also keeping a close eye on Muharemovic and are preparing to make a move for him in 2027.
However, Leeds remain firm in their stance on keeping Muharemovic and are in no mood to sell him anytime soon.
It would take £60m or more to even get Leeds to the negotiating table, as the Yorkshire giants aren’t interested in losing Muharemovic this early.
The Whites want to build their team around players such as Muharemovic, and the Bosnian has also shown little interest in leaving Elland Road.
Leeds have accelerated their decision on Muharemovic, and it remains clear – the centre-back is not for sale.

The club must remain firm on their stance

Leeds United must do everything possible to keep Tarik Muharemovic at Elland Road next summer, even if Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Inter Milan and Barcelona make serious offers.
The 23-year-old has quickly become a vital part of Daniel Farke’s defence, and losing him after just one season would be a major setback. Left-footed centre-backs with his physicality, composure and ability on the ball are difficult to find, and Leeds would struggle to replace him without spending heavily.
The interest from Europe’s elite is a testament to how well Muharemovic has performed, but Leeds must show they are serious about building something rather than simply developing players for richer clubs to buy.
With his contract running until 2031, the club have a strong negotiating position. They should use it to keep him, not cash in at the first opportunity. If Leeds want to progress, keeping their best players is non-negotiable.
