With the transfer deadline just days away, Leeds United have some work to do concerning the first team squad. The 49ers have done a great job in the last few weeks.
The summer started out slowly with Harry Wilson and Tarik Muharemovic as the early signings.
James Trafford’s arrival was a big one for the club, who had worked on it for weeks to make sure the deal was over the line. When Trafford arrived, the transfer activity slowed down for a while.
But in the last few weeks, the club has been very busy.
They have managed to sell Joe Gelhardt, and loan out Joel Piroe and Sebastiaan Bornauw.
Daniel Farke confirms Leeds United star will not play this season
Leeds United have also confirmed the signing of defender Nico Elvedi.
But that will not be the last piece of business the 49ers conduct as the transfer deadline approaches.
The Whites are working on two fronts; adding a new goalkeeper and an attacking players. Eintracht Frankfurt’s Michael Zetterer is on the agenda, but Leeds will have to do a lot of work to complete the deal.
Monday has seen a move for Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk collapse as the club ended talks.
On the exit front, one Leeds player set to leave the club is Largie Ramazani. The Belgian was left out of the pre-season squad list, and is yet to report to Throp Arch since.
Daniel Farke confirmed in Monday’s press conference that the winger will not play for the club this season.
”Those not in squad in pre-season not in plans for this season. It makes no sense to involve someone who was not involved in our plans last season.”
”Where they play next season, that is up to them. No new updates.”

Valencia lead race for Leeds star
Largie Ramazani was not in Daniel Farke’s plans last season, as he was shipped out on loan to Spain.
He had a difficult start to life with Valencia, but turned things around midseason. The winger had a very solid run to end the campaign, which drew the interest of the La Liga club.
They have been interested in a move since the summer window began, with their CEO having visited Thorp Arch to discuss a transfer.
Valencia still have Ramazani in their sights, but are hopeful for a cut-price deal or another loan.
With Daniel Farke’s words on Monday, the winger will definitely be leaving before the transfer deadline.
