Leeds United delivered on the road once again as they managed to get a result at the Vitality Stadium. Going into the game, the Whites were up against Andoni Iraola’s men who were on a 13-game unbeaten streak.
And after a close first half where the home side dominated, the Cherries broke the deadlock in the second half. Eli Kroupi pounced on some poor defending to give his side the lead. An own goal from James Hill levelled the scores less than 10 minutes later. In the 85th minute, Rayan scored what seemed like the winning goal for Iraola’s men.
Evanilson had the ball in the back of the net in what Bournemouth thought was the third goal to kill off the game, but a VAR check ruled it out for offside. Sean Longstaff came off the bench and popped up with a late equalizer to clinch the result. The Whites have now hit 40 points and will surely get another season in the top flight.
Leeds star suffers injury blow ahead of FA Cup semi-final
Leeds United can now set their sights on this weekend’s FA Cup clash at Wembley. Their opponents Chelsea have been having a terrible time this week. The Blues lost 3-0 to Brighton on Tuesday night, and the result sent shockwaves around the club. Chelsea officials discussed Liam Rosenior’s future and decided to sack him late on Wednesday afternoon. Calum McFarlane will serve as interim boss, and will be in charge this weekend.
On Wednesday night, Daniel Farke confirmed that Jayden Bogle suffered a knock at half time against Bournemouth. ”Bogle was struggling at half-time. Got a hit on his foot.”
Losing Bogle would be a huge blow, considering how the team looked out of sorts when he was taken off the pitch.

Daniel Farke lucky to avoid injuries after huge risk
Jayden Bogle’s injury could turn out to just be a knock, and he could be fit in time for the weekend. But many fans thought that Farke was taking an unnecessary risk by fielding a full strength side on Wednesday night. Things could have gone bad, but fortunately the club escaped without any more issues. Fans must hope that the game against Bournemouth did not take much out of the team, and that they will not be fatigued for the FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.
