Sean Longstaff scored a goal deep into stoppage time to ensure Leeds’ solid away performance gets rewarded with a point in their bag when they leave Bournemouth.
The late goal didn’t impress Tyler Adams, who didn’t react too well to his former side stealing a point from the Vitality.
Former Leeds star fuming after Bournemouth draw
Tyler Adams is not remembered fondly at Leeds, as he was part of the team that got relegated from the Premier League and was quick to move on from Elland Road.
He has emerged as a key player at Vitality Stadium and produced the assist that almost earned Bournemouth all three points against the Whites.
However, Longstaff’s goal silenced the home fans late in the game, and the former Leeds midfielder was not at all impressed.
He was seen shouting and berating his teammates in the middle of the pitch after they dropped two vital points in their bid to qualify for European football.
Even Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola was unimpressed. But Leeds will not mind infuriating their former player on their way to securing Premier League safety.
Daniel Farke’s side have hit the proverbial 40-point mark
The last two wins over Manchester United and Wolves mean that a point at Bournemouth on the brink of Premier League survival this season.
They still have a nine-point lead over the relegation zone, albeit playing a game more than Tottenham, and have almost certainly earned another season in the top flight.
One more win should do the trick, and they will be taking on a relegated Burnley side at Elland Road on 1st May, where they could secure Premier League survival.
Leeds produced a strong away performance and eventually deserved to walk away with a draw against Bournemouth.
Daniel Farke will now prepare his side for the biggest game of the season when they travel to London to take on Chelsea at Wembley in the FA Cup final.
