Last summer saw Daniel Farke have the final say on key decisions in the first team squad before training camp. The German had a fair idea of the players he had planned with going into the season.
Some decisions shocked the fans, like leaving Patrick Bamford out of his plans.
The striker was told about the decision, and ended up leaving Leeds after agreeing to terminate his contract. Another decision that did not go down well was re-integrating Jack Harrison.
The winger had spent the previous seasons away on loan.
And after Everton failed to sign him on a permanent deal, he returned to Elland Road. Farke made him a part of his plans as he took part in pre-season and made the final squad list for the campaign.
Leeds United make key decisions for US training camp
Leeds United will depart for the US in the coming days.
The club have some pre-season friendlies lined up as well as their training camp. This is where new players will get the chance to adapt to the first team, and Farke will get the chance to evaluate some players.
The Leeds boss has once again made a big call this summer, opting to leave out four first team players.
Leeds have announced their travelling party for USA training camp and three friendlies. No major surprises. Noah Okafor omitted to allow more time off after a deep World Cup run.

Max Wober, Joe Gelhardt, Largie Ramazani and Jack Harrison have all been left out of the traveling party for the training camp in the US. All four players were out on loan last season, but failed to earn permanent deals.

What is the latest with these four players?
Max Wober was told to find a new club, but still remains a Leeds player following his loan spell in Germany. He is expected to leave this summer, but his wages are a stumbling block.
Hull City were very keen on a move for Joe Gelhardt following his performances in their promotion campaign. But things have gone very quiet on that front recently.
Jack Harrison did not report for pre-season, and has been linked with a move to the MLS.
Largie Ramazani is also one whose future is yet to be decided ahead of the new campaign. Valencia remain interested in the winger.
