Leeds United still have a few games to end the season, with the club hopeful of surviving relegation. Four more games could decide where the Whites play next season.

They could have another campaign in the top flight, or if things go wrong, they could go back down to the Championship. The club have a great chance this Friday as they face Burnley, who have already been relegated. Scott Parker has been sacked, and Michael Jackson is expected to be in the dugout for the game.

Plans are already being made behind the scenes as the club are eyeing key targets ahead of the summer window. Leeds have been linked with goalkeepers, with three of their first team options out of contract in the coming months. A striker is also said to be on the shortlist, in order to beef up the attack; with Ayase Ueda and Lois Openda being assessed.

Leeds eye move for Championship star

If reports are to be believed, a midfielder could be next on the shortlist. Per Ivan Quiros of Transfermarkt News, Leeds are among a number of Premier League clubs interested in Birmingham City star Jhon Solis. He joined the Championship side on loan from Girona and will join the club after having played more than 11 games in the second half of the season. Solis has a purchase option of around £6 million which will be his price tag if he does move to England on a permanent deal.

Leeds fans will remember Solis after he had a very dominant display in their FA Cup clash a few months ago. He held his own against the Whites and made impression. In the game, the Colombian had 70 touches, won two fouls, completed 45 of his 50 passes and won nine of his ground duels.

Daniel Farke needs something different in midfield

Solis is a dynamic and combative midfielder; loves to win the ball in the middle of the park. Outside Ethan Ampadu, the Whites do not really have much options in that department. If Leeds sign him, he would provide something different from Gruev, Longstaff and Tanaka. The Birmingham City midfielders ranks highly in passes per 90 and shots per 90 among midfielders in the Championship – showing his potential with the ball ahead of him. At £6 million, he would be a quality option for Leeds United in the market.
