Despite the ups and downs of last season, Leeds United kept Daniel Farke as their coach throughout the campaign. The Whites managed to survive relegation with a strong run to end the season.

Leeds fans were concerned near the end last year, when the team looked to be in trouble.

Daniel Farke’s men were in poor form and the German himself was under serious pressure. Reports during that time tipped him to be sacked around November, but he turned things around.

The 49ers avoided pulling the trigger in the middle of the season.

Things turned around quickly and Leeds went on an unbeaten run into the New Year.

The club finished in 14th place and guaranteed another season of top flight football at Elland Road.

While many clubs had down seasons, Leeds United fans would consider this year a good season. Finishing way above the relegation zone and making an FA Cup semi-final should be considered a success.

This past season was not a great one for the more consistent teams in the league.

Nottingham Forest, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves all had poor seasons, with the latter being relegated.

Ahead of the new season, teams are already making some serious changes. Kieran McKenna stepped down as coach of Ispwich town over a week ago, and the newly promoted club are in the market for a new coach.

According too Fabrizio Romano, Fulham are the latest team to make a change in the dugout.

Former Real Madrid coach Alvaro Arbeloa is said to be closing in on a deal to become the new manager at the London club. The 43-year old was said to be finalizing details, and is now close to being appointed.

The London club have been without a coach since Marco Silva decided not to renew his deal at Craven Cottage.

49ers need to back Daniel Farke

Daniel Farke spoke at length about staying at Elland Road this summer.

His deal at Leeds United runs out in 2027, and the club is said to be keen on giving him a new deal. The 49ers have already committed club captain Ethan Ampadu to a long-term deal.

Now the 49ers must do the same for Daniel Farke.

Not only that, the Whites need to back him in the transfer window if they want to have a good season next year.

Leeds cannot make the mistake of heading into the new season without improving the squad.
