The season has not ended, but work on Leeds transfers seems to be in the works. The 49ers already have huge plans for the club beyond this campaign, and the summer will be very important.
This summer, a lot of decisions will be made about the squad depending on how the next few months go. Leeds are currently eight points above the relegation zone with five games to go. Last summer’s recruitment saw a huge increase in quality in the team, and that has been a factor in why the club have kept their heads above water in this campaign.
And reports suggest that the 49ers have identified some areas in the team that could be addressed in the coming months.
Premier League star on shortlist for Leeds transfers this summer
The attack will be a key focus going into the summer window; Leeds need more support. This season, the only reliable option has been Dominic Calvert-Lewin up front, with Lukas Nmecha and Noah Okafor chipping in. A new striker could be among the priorities in the coming months. Reports of a new goalkeeper have popped up over the past week, as the club could have just one first team keeper under contract in the summer.
Per Express and Star, Leeds United are very interested in signing Wolves defender Ladislav Krejci. According to the reports, there have been initial talks between the Whites and the player’s camp about a possible transfer. Nothing has been confirmed, but there is serious interest heading into the summer. However, it has been made clear that Wolves have yet to be officially approached over a move. Other Premier League clubs are also monitoring the defender’s situation.

Wolves star would be a solid addition to the team
The club already has capable center backs this season, but Krejci could be an upgrade. If Farke sticks to the back three going forward, the Whites would need more depth in the backline. Sebastiaan Bornauw has been decent in his appearances this campaign, but the rumours about a return to Germany continue to grow. Krejci is at a good age, and has a lot of experience – he has been one of Wolves’ best players. With his club relegated, he will be available on a cut-price deal, which will interest a lot of teams including Leeds.
