Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has indicated that the club will soon sort out the futures of a few players at the club following the end of the season.
The focus has shifted to the upcoming summer transfer window at the end of the season, and Leeds are looking to bring in upgrades in several areas of the squad.
However, Leeds also have a few futures to sort out at Elland Road. Negotiations are ongoing over a new deal for Ethan Ampadu, and there is a major chance of Pascal Struijk exiting the club this summer.
But Leeds also have a big decision to make on Karl Darlow’s future, and a recent Premier League announcement has strengthened the goalkeeper’s hands during negotiations.
Karl Darlow nominated for Premier League award
The Welshman didn’t have the best of games against West Ham on the final day and could have done better to save at least two of the three goals he conceded.
It was not the best way for Karl Darlow to end the season, given that he is out of contract in the summer, and there is still no agreement over a new deal.
Leeds have a big decision to make on the goalkeeper’s future, but a Premier League announcement could help them finalise a call soon.
The Premier League has nominated Darlow’s save against Wolves for the Save of the Season award.
The Welshman’s effort was already established when it won the Save of the Month award for April, but it has now been nominated for the Save of the Season accolade.
Leeds face a major goalkeeping decision
Leeds need to keep Darlow at all costs and act fast in windows rather than bargain hunting
