Tottenham Hotspur survived relegation on the final day of the Premier League season. West Ham won their game against Leeds but it was not enough.

Going into this past weekend, just two points separated the two sides.

Leeds had already picked up a point against Tottenham before the last game of the season. The relegation battle went down to the final day, with the Whites facing West Ham.

Nuno’s side did their job by beating Daniel Farke’s men 3-0 at home.

But Spurs managed to record a huge win over Everton to secure their place in the Premier League next season.

Jamie O’Hara blasts former Leeds United star

Tottenham Hotspur finished just above West Ham, by beating Everton on the final day. This season for Spurs has been a terrible one that fans will hope to forget.

On talkSPORT this Monday, Jamie O’Hara said he did not connect with any player on the Tottenham Hotspur team. When Archie Gray was brought up, he went on a rant about Spurs signing ‘average’ players.

”Do me a favour, Archie Gray. Bang average. Come on, mate.” O’Hara said.

”We finished 17 for the last 2 seasons, he’s played the most games. Let’s not hang our hats on a player like Archie Gray.”

”No, no, I’m not saying he’s a bad player.”

When the discussion with Alex Crook, Sam Matterface and Scott Minto continued into Spurs potentially signing Championship players, O’Hara went on another rant.

And he brought up Archie Gray again: ”We can’t be talking about getting a Championship player and getting excited about it; all them Archie Gray(s). Rip it up.”

”It’s got to be ripped up, the recruitment process of Tottenham has been an absolute disaster. It’s got to be changed.”

”There’s plenty of players out there.”

”Spurs don’t need to sign championship players. We got championship players. They’ve shown that.”

Jamie O’Hara could not be more wrong about Archie Gray

It is O’Hara’s job to be controversial when it comes to takes in the media, but he is wrong about Archie Gray.

The midfielder is one of the most talented players in English football right now. It was not a fluke when he came out of Thorp Arch, and he is still a great player now.

Playing in an extremely unstable environment since joining Spurs has not helped. He has played under a bunch of managers, and used across the pitch and not his natural midfield role.

Archie Gray is just 20 and has shown he has what it takes to play for Tottenham Hotspur. Hopefully he gets the chance to prove that next season.
