Leeds United club chairman Paraag Marathe made it known to the fans that there will be a logical approach to this transfer window. And this can already be seen firsthand.
The Whites let go of Pascal Struijk last week. Many were baffled when he departed but there was a reason.
Leeds needed the transfer fee for their PSR books before the deadline in June, so the deal was wrapped up quickly. It also helped that the defender was not willing to sign a new deal at Elland Road.
Daniel Farke got his first signing of the summer as the club announced the signing of Harry Wilson.
The former Fulham man arrives as the club look to add quality depth to a team that finished in 14th place in the Premier League last season.
Leeds United ace must be replaced
As part of the Leeds United midfield revamp, Shea Charles is a priority target for the club.
The Southampton star is wanted by clubs this summer, but the Whites have already had two bids rejected and will attempt another in the coming days.
With midfield arrivals being planned, it definitely means that some in the current squad will make way.
Sean Longstaff came into the team last year, with Daniel Farke needing solidity and physicality in the middle of the park. The former Newcastle man was off to a great start early in the season before injury cut his campaign short.
He never won back his place in the team, and by the end of the year he was a benchwarmer.
There have also been whispers that Longstaff is unhappy with his role in the team, and could leave in this window.

Joao Palhinha is an ideal target for the Whites this summer
Looking at options, Joao Palhinha stands out.
The Portuguese midfielder was on loan at Tottenham last season. He was impressive for the team, but the London club ultimately turned down the option to sign him permanently.
Joao Palhinha ended up being Spurs’ saviour last season as he scored in the final game to help them survive.
He is out of favour under Vincent Kompany at Bayern Munich, and could be sold in the coming months.
Palhinha is currently valued around £12.78 million on Transfermarkt, and Bayern could very well sell him around that amount.
The midfielder would bring steel in the middle of the park; he also has experience in the Premier League having played at Fulham. This is a market opportunity the 49ers should take this summer.
Leeds will have to move hard and fast to get replacements in Goal and defence. As for Craig Charles (good in Red Dwarf) he is not coming Southampton want a bidding war, Leaving things to the end of the window will be far too risky now.
