Leeds United’s transfer business has been relatively quiet so far this summer, but there is no reason for supporters to panic. The club completed 10 deals during the last transfer window, showing they are more than capable of getting business done when the time is right.
So far, only two permanent signings have arrived before the squad departed for their pre-season training camp.
Harry Wilson joined on a free transfer to add creativity and experience in the final third, while Tarik Muharemovic arrived in a big-money move to fill the void left by Pascal Struijk’s departure.
Leeds are far from finished in the market, though, with several areas of Daniel Farke’s squad still expected to be strengthened.
Julian Brandt and Shea Charles remain high on the club’s shortlist as the Whites look to reshape their midfield. Brandt would provide creativity and attacking quality, while Charles is seen as an ideal fit alongside Anton Stach and Ethan Ampadu.
Leeds are also closing in on a deal to sign Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford this summer.

Whites star missed Sunderland game amid exit talk
A Lukas Nmecha goal helped Leeds to beat Premier League rivals Sunderland in a pre-season game on Thursday night in New Jersey.
Leeds managed to notch up their first win in pre-season after starting with a defeat against Championship opponents Wrexham last week.
Tarik Muhamerovic looked impressive at the back, and several other Leeds stars impressed as the club gear up for the start of the Premier League season next month.
However, there was one key name missing from the team sheets against Sunderland on Wednesday night
Lucas Perri didn’t feature against Sunderland amid talks of him leaving Leeds in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Torino have an agreement in place to sign the goalkeeper on loan with an option to buy this summer, and he is expected to fly out for a medical soon.
Graham Smyth revealed that he was missed due to a knock. However, Leeds do not want to risk an injury to Perri at this stage.
The Whites are expected to sanction his departure as soon as they finalise James Trafford’s arrival in the coming days.

Lucas Perri turned out to be a dud for Leeds
Leeds United signed Lucas Perri last summer in the hope that he would solve their long-standing goalkeeping issues and establish himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper for years to come.
However, doubts over his all-round game emerged early in the season, and a string of inconsistent displays eventually saw him lose his place in Daniel Farke’s starting XI.
Perri spent the second half of the 2025/26 campaign as Karl Darlow’s understudy, featuring only in domestic cup competitions while the experienced goalkeeper retained the number one shirt.
The club no longer see the Brazilian as their long-term solution between the posts and are prepared to sanction his departure once James Trafford’s arrival is finalised.
Even then, Leeds’ business in the goalkeeping department is unlikely to be over. With Alex Cairns viewed primarily as a dependable third-choice option, the Whites are expected to recruit another senior goalkeeper to provide competition and cover alongside Trafford.
