Daniel Farke was vocal about the Leeds United ownership investing on the pitch going into next season. The 49ers’ £100 million outlay last summer was a big reason the team survived relegation.

Leeds’ recruitment team managed to bring on board top quality players from across Europe. The Whites signed players who immediately came in and made an impact like Anton Stach and Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
They have to do it again this summer, if they want to continue to be a top flight team.
The Whites have already signed an upgrade in attack, with Harry Wilson joining on a free transfer. Leeds also spent £34 million on Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemovic – a fee already higher than their most expensive signing last year.
World Cup star turns down Leeds United move
The first team squad at Elland Road needed some improvement going into this window and the club is working on it.
Losing Karl Darlow on a free transfer was quite unexpected and rapidly changed plans. Leeds United began their search for a new first choice keeper, and multiple names were shortlisted.
This includes Parma and Japan star Zion Suzuki.
The 23-year old had an impressive campaign and got a lot of suitors, including Leeds. Tuttosport in Italy are now reporting that Suzuki wants to join Juventus, and is not keen on joining other clubs.
The report claims that Newcastle United and Leeds United were ready to offer over £20 million to sign the keeper.
But now, the player’s next destination will be between Paris and Turin, as PSG and Juventus are leading the race. Suzuki is said to prefer a move to Juventus who would offer him regular playing time.

Leeds have moved on with James Trafford
An attempt to sign the Parma star would have been earlier in the summer window.
Leeds United now have their sights set on signing Manchester City keeper James Trafford. The Whites have been in talks since last week, and a deal is said to be close.
Lucas Perri is waiting in the wings to be given the green light to travel to Italy for his move to Torino.
Trafford will be a big signing, that will show the fanbase the ambition the 49ers have for this team. This season will be a real test for Daniel Farke and his men.
