The transfer window has started a bit slow for Leeds United fans. But they need to remember that the club managed to get 10 transfer deals across the line last summer.
This time around, only two permanent transfers have been made ahead of training camp.
Leeds added Harry Wilson on a free transfer, with the former Fulham attacking midfielder to inject some quality in the team. Tarik Muharemovic came in with a huge price tag as Pascal Struijk’s replacement.
The club still has plans to improve upon other positions in this first team.
Julian Brandt and Shea Charles remain targets as the Whites hope to revamp their midfield. Brandt would come in as a more attacking option, and Charles would fit in alongside Anton Stach and Ethan Ampadu.
But there have only been talks, with nothing confirmed yet.
Clubs make formal enquiries for Leeds United star
Leeds United have also shown interest in adding a new striker in this window.
Graham Smyth reported recently that the club are looking at options in the market, including Levante’s Carlos Espi. The aim is to add a younger center forward who can challenge Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The goalkeeping situation at Elland Road is addressed, as a deal for James Trafford draws closer.
If the England keeper arrives at Leeds United, that gives the green light for Lucas Perri to leave. The Brazilian went on the US tour as the club were figuring out his future.

Torino have concrete interest, and have already agreed personal terms with Perri.
Leeds have also given the go ahead for a move, with a season-long loan deal expected. But Isaac Johnson has reported that the Whites have received formal enquiries about the keeper from other clubs in recent days.
It remains to be seen if this new interest affects the transfer deal with Torino.

Leeds need to find a backup goalkeeper now
With all the news about James Trafford coming in, the club will likely be without a capable backup if the Manchester City star joins.
Alex Cairns is the only other first team goalkeeper outside Lucas Perri. And when Perri leaves, the veteran will remain as the club’s backup option ahead of the upcoming season.
Leeds could rely on Karl Darlow in recent years, but now the Welshman is gone.
It is going to be a complex situation that the Whites need to solve in the coming weeks. With the money set to be spent on Trafford, getting another keeper as a backup will be a tough task.
