Leeds United have made a brilliant start to their Premier League season, but a controversy surrounding one of their players is refusing to die down.
The Whites have played some good football at the start of the season and have gone into the international break fifth in the Premier League table on nine points.
They are one of the few unbeaten teams left in the Premier League after five games and are now seen as contenders to finish in the European spots.
However, Leeds have some concerns off the pitch as a controversy surrounding one of their players continues to attract column inches for all the wrong reasons.

Leeds United star slammed again in a live press conference
Noah Okafor won’t be joining the Switzerland squad during the international break after he stepped back from playing for the national team this month.
He insisted that he won’t play for Switzerland again until Murat Yakin is their head coach, and the latter publicly hammered the Leeds star last week.
However, the headlines refuse to die down, as Switzerland team director Pierluigi Tami has now weighed in on the controversy surrounding the winger.
He stressed that Yakin tried to accommodate Okafor, but the Leeds winger didn’t fit his plans, and his performances weren’t good enough for the coach to stick with him.
“I never wanted to lose such a good athlete like him. But Murat was very clear in his press conference”, Pierluigi Tami said in a press conference.
“Noah’s qualities sometimes don’t fit his playing style. Murat explained well why Noah doesn’t have a place on the team.
“The players only see the issue from their own perspective. The coach has to see the whole picture. Murat tried everything to integrate him. In the end, we weren’t satisfied with his performance.”

Noah Okafor may never play for Switzerland again
The latest fallout between Noah Okafor and Murat Yakin could prove to be the one that permanently ends the Leeds winger’s international career under the current Switzerland boss.
There has been friction between the pair before, but the situation now appears considerably more serious. Yakin has shown little appetite to repair the relationship after Okafor’s public comments, while the player has also made his position clear and does not appear keen to work under the Swiss coach again.
The major obstacle for Okafor is that Switzerland currently has little reason to make a managerial change. Yakin has been in charge since 2021 and, with the national team continuing to meet expectations, the Swiss FA have no obvious incentive to disrupt the current setup.
Okafor is also unlikely to have enough influence within the national team to force the issue. He has never established himself as one of Switzerland’s indispensable players, so his dispute with Yakin is unlikely to affect the coach’s position.
Unless something changes dramatically, Okafor’s wait for another Switzerland call-up could therefore be a long one.

The Swiss management team need to show some professionalism and do as JDC says, you get on with your game and leave Noah to get on with his.
