Leeds United are pushing to complete a few deals before the start of the new season. The 49ers have a list of targets they are still considering in this summer window.

Harry Wilson arrived as a free agent, and Bosnian defender Tarik Muharemovic was signed for a big fee.

Wilson will bring a much needed spark to the attack; the attacker had 11 goals and eight assists for Fulham last season. Muharemovic will fill in for Pascal Struijk who was sold earlier in the window.

There are still some deals that could go through before the transfer deadline.

Leeds are still pushing to complete a move for Manchester City goalkeeper James Trafford. The club have been in talks for weeks and are putting the final touches on the transfer.

Key Leeds United player could miss season opener

Leeds United wrapped up their pre-season training in the US with their final game in Chicago.

They managed a huge comeback to beat Liverpool after being two goals down in the first half. Daniel Farke’s side looked out of it before they rallied in the second half and scored four goals to win the game.

The Whites will now head back to England for their final games before the season kicks off.

Unfortunately for Farke and his team, they could be without a key player for the opener against Nottingham Forest. Gabriel Gudmundsson picked up an injury in the game against Liverpool on Sunday.

He seemed to have pulled a hamstring after 30 minutes and could not continue.

After the game, he spoke to Aftonbladet and revealed that he does not know the extent of his injury. But it is around the thigh area/muscle, which is a concern afte Gudmundsson missed the final weeks of last season with a hamstring injury.

A normal hamstring injury takes at least two or three weeks to recover, which could rule him out for the Forest game.

Leeds still have a few issues to handle as they jet to England

Gabriel Gudmundsson is not the only injury concern Leeds have as they are set to arrive at Thorp Arch.

Ilia Gruev played no part in the pre-season tour in the US as he continues to recover from a meniscus knee injury from April. Lucas Perri was also sidelined in the last two games with a knock.

Jaka Bijol also missed every friendly in the US after a knock to the knee.

Daniel Farke will be hoping that all these players could return to action with just weeks before the start of the new season.

Leeds United are away to Nottingham Forest in their first Premier League game of the season.
