Patrick Bamford finally made his England debut on Sunday but the striker suffered a quiet afternoon before being replaced by Harry Kane.
Bamford had very few touches of the ball and didn’t have a significant chance either. Leeds fans on social media have suggested the reason for this is that the England midfield simply gave him no service.
In the replies to a tweet Bamford made about being proud to earn his first cap, Leeds fans jumped to his defence. ‘Shame you didn’t get any service Paddy’, one fan wrote, before another said ‘maybe next time you can play with @KalvinPhillips and you’ll get some service.’

Bamford will be immensely proud to have played for his country, but will still be bitterly disappointed to have not made a big impression in front of goal.
Absolutely buzzing for you. Maybe next time you can play with @Kalvinphillips and you’ll get some service. 🏴🏴🏴
