Leeds United have one of their biggest games of the season so far when they face off against Wolves at Elland Road on Saturday.
The game against the side that is sitting at the bottom of the Premier League is a perfect opportunity for United to add another three points to their tally to further distance themselves from the drop zone.
Following their monumental win at Old Trafford on Monday night, a win against Wolves would effectively guarantee Leeds’ Premier League survival, taking their points tally to 39 with five games remaining.
With that being said, Daniel Farke still has a couple of tough selection decisions on his hands ahead of the game, with the likes of Joe Rodon and Anton Stach likely to miss this game again through injury.
Noah Okafor should be the first name on the team sheet against Wolves
Barring any last-minute injury concerns, Okafor should be the first name on Farke’s teamsheet following his heroics at Old Trafford, as the winger scored two during United’s historical win.
The 25-year-old has been in incredible form in his last few outings, and you would not put it past him to have a large say in how this upcoming game against Wolves plays out.
Although he was wasteful in front of goal, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is likely to lead the line again for Leeds as Lukas Nmecha watches on from the bench.
It would not be a surprise to see Farke field the same team that conquered Manchester United, with Ao Tanaka and Brenden Aaronson partnering Ethan Ampadu in midfield.
Unfortunately for Sebastiaan Bornauw, this means he is likely to be on the bench again despite Rodon’s absence, with James Justin filling in at centre half brilliantly when asked to this season.
Predicted XI: Darlow, Bogle, Justin, Bijol, Struijk, Gudmundsson, Ampadu, Tanaka, Aaronson, Okafor, Calvert-Lewin

Data suggests Leeds are heavy favourites against Wolves
As expected, Leeds are the heavy favourites going into the game according to Opta’s supercomputer.
Whilst there is not as much pressure on Farke’s side to win following their result against Man United, Leeds will know they will not have many more ideal opportunities than this to pick up a win.
- Opta’s supercomputer suggests Leeds have a 56% chance of beating Wolves
- Wolves’ chances of winning, on the other hand, were slim, sitting at just 21.2%
- The chance of a draw occurring is said to be 22.7%
Leeds have only picked up one point in their last three home games in the Premier League, and to stay in the top flight next season, Farke and Co. will know they must get back to winning ways on their home patch sooner rather than later.
