Leeds United remain in the market for another striker this summer as they look to reduce their dependence on Dominic Calvert-Lewin heading into the new Premier League campaign.
Calvert-Lewin enjoyed an excellent first season at Elland Road, scoring 14 league goals to help the Whites secure their top-flight status. But his importance also exposed a weakness in the squad. Whenever the former Everton forward went through a lean spell, Leeds often lacked another reliable goalscorer to share the burden.
That is why signing a new centre-forward remains one of the club’s top priorities before the transfer window closes. Daniel Farke wants a striker capable of competing with Calvert-Lewin for a place in the starting XI, while also offering the option of playing alongside him when the situation demands.
Equally important, Leeds are searching for a forward who can lead the line in Calvert-Lewin’s absence. Adding that depth would not only strengthen Farke’s attacking options but also ensure the team are not overly reliant on one player across the demands of a long Premier League season.

West Ham push to sign striker linked with Leeds United
Leeds are also looking to sign another goalkeeper alongside James Trafford and remain keen to strengthen their attacking midfield options before the transfer window closes.
However, bringing in a new striker is one of the club’s biggest priorities, with Daniel Farke determined to reduce the goalscoring burden on Dominic Calvert-Lewin ahead of the 2026/27 Premier League campaign.
Leeds are interested in signing Burnley’s Zian Flemming. However, the club could see one of their long-term targets move to the Championship.
Troy Parrott has been heavily linked with a move to Leeds in the last 18 months, and he is a forward who has admirers at Elland Road.
However, according to talkSPORT transfer journalist Alex Crook, West Ham have made a major effort to sign the Ireland international this summer.
The Hammers have identified him as one of their top targets and believe he has the quality to power them back to the Premier League next season.
Parrott, a former Tottenham academy product, has scored 30 league goals in 58 appearances for AZ Alkmaar and is keen on returning to England.
It remains to be seen whether he would be open to joining a Championship club or gamble on waiting for a Premier League team.

Leeds definitely need one more striker this summer as they cannot afford to gamble on Dominic Calvert-Lewin remaining fit for a season again.
With Joel Piroe expected to depart and Lukas Nmecha never having been a prolific goalscorer, Leeds are likely to prioritise signing another striker before the transfer window closes.
Leeds have been keeping tabs on the forward for close to two years now, but AZ Alkmaar’s financial demands have always remained a stumbling block.
However, if West Ham feel they can afford the striker in the Championship, there is no reason why Leeds can’t put together the funds needed to sign him.
Parrott would likely prefer to join a Premier League club over spending at least one season in the Championship with West Ham.
IMO, We should be going all out to sign Zian Flemming, and forget about Parrot. Flemming would be a cracking signing I think, but we need to act quickly before someone else jumps in and steals him from under our noses.
