Leeds United scored 95 goals in the Championship this season, and there is a huge belief that they will need more next season. Daniel Farke and his recruitment team now need to identify players who can do just that.
A signing like Manor Solomon was a very inspired one this season, the Spurs man had 22 goal involvements in the Championship alone and scored the crucial goal to lift the title.
Multiple reports claim that Daniel Farke is keen on adding some Premier League experience to the attack. Names like Jamie Vardy and Callum Wilson have been mentioned. Targets in other leagues are on the table; the past 24 hours have seen Leeds open talks with Hamburg striker Davie Selke.

Paul Scholes discusses important Leeds United issue

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes believes that goals will be very important for Leeds’ fight for survival. And that adding a few names who can score will boost their chances. He was speaking on Sky Sports’ The Overlap:
“What about goalscoring-wise? I always think when a team comes up — if they can score goals, they’ve got half a chance.
“I said it about Ipswich. You’re such an attacking team but they came to the Premier League and got hammered by everyone. But didn’t really go for it the way they did [in the Championship].
“I always think, if you’ve got goals in your team, it gives you a chance.”
Scholes then asked Simon Rix if the Whites need another center foward.
Rix replied: “Everyone needs a centre-forward. Arsenal need one, Liverpool need one, everyone needs one.
“But, if you can get goals from elsewhere? That’s the secret. If we can get goals from elsewhere, that’ll be good.
“When we did well, Bamford got 17 goals. But, actually, it was his hold up play and bringing others in that got us up to finish ninth that season.”
Leeds need some more firepower
Going into the Premier League with Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph as depth in the position. It is a good sign that Leeds are figuring out some targets to add during the transfer window.
Add more options in attack to spread the goals make it very difficult to beat Leeds United as a team.
