Joe Gelhardt has finally completed a permanent move away from Leeds United. The forward was one of the players tipped to leave Elland Road in this summer window.
He was one of the players left out of the squad list for the trip to the US training camp.
Now, the Whites have managed to offload Max Wober, Jack Harrison and Gelhardt in the space of over two weeks.
Gelhardt’s exit was confirmed on Saturday, as he has signed a four-year deal with the newly promoted side. The fee is said to be around £6.5 million with his former club Wigan set to pocket around £1 million.
“Everyone is aware of how much love I have for Hull. Once the owner called, it was always going to be Hull.” he said in his first words for his new club.
“I was buzzing to come back and see everyone. Now we’re in the Premier League, everyone is excited to play against the best and test ourselves.
“Thanks to the fans for their support and the love you have shown me. Here’s to another four years!”
Leeds United set to complete transfer deal
Gelhardt’s departure gives Leeds United some transfer funds to use in the rest of the window.
The Whites are said to have a long list of targets to complete before the transfer deadline. A backup goalkeeper, fullback, central midfielder, attacking midfielder and striker are among the priorities.
But the club already have one move set to be completed soon.

According to Sky reporter Florian Plettiburg, Nico Elvedi is set to join Leeds United.
Talks have been held by both clubs this week over a transfer fee, after the Whites agreed personal terms with the Switzerland international.
The move has been prioritized with the news that Sebastiaan Bornauw could be headed to the Bundesliga with HSV.

Transfer deal for Elvedi is puzzling
Bornauw’s departure is the reason for Elvedi coming in, but the situation is very unclear.
Nothing has been confirmed if the Belgian will join Hamburg on a permanent deal, with a loan move the only thing having been discussed.
Sebastiaan Bornauw is said to be eager to move due to lack of playing time. But the arrival of Elvedi will also mean that the new signing will have to accept a role as a rotational player.
The Switzerland international could cost more than Bornauw and is older.
He is yet to kick a ball, and maybe he will justify his transfer when he arrives. But for now, the deal is a very surprising one for all involved.
