Leeds United ended their pre-season on a high on Saturday, cruising to a 4-0 win over Augsburg with their Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest now just a week away.
The focus will now shift back to the transfer market, with the club still looking to strengthen a few key areas before the window closes.
Daniel Farke needs more additions to improve the squad, while also finding replacements for players who are expected to leave Elland Road this summer.
A new striker remains one of Leeds’ priorities, but the club first need to sort out Joel Piroe’s future. The Whites are unlikely to bring in another forward until they know whether the Dutchman will be staying or moving on.

Leeds United star in advanced negotiations to leave
The Whites have reached an agreement with Borussia Monchengladbach to sign 29-year-old Switzerland defender Nico Elvedi this summer.
Personal terms are also in place between the club and the player, and the defender is expected to complete the switch to Elland Road imminently.
Elvedi’s arrival will trigger the departure of Sebastiaan Bornauw, who wants to move on from Leeds this summer.
Hamburg are interested in signing him, and according to Sky Deutschland, the club are now in advanced negotiations to sign the Leeds defender.
The Bundesliga club are trying to finalise a deal that would see the Belgian return to Germany on loan with an option to buy.
Leeds signed Bornauw last summer, but he was nothing more than a squad player and never really emerged as a first-choice centre-back.
He wants to play more football in the upcoming season and has consented to a return to the Bundesliga this summer.
Nico Elvedi will be an excellent replacement for Sebastiaan Bornauw
Sebastiaan Bornauw was a useful squad option for Leeds United, but he never really got enough opportunities to prove himself as a dependable back-up.
Nico Elvedi looks like a strong replacement. The Swiss defender has plenty of experience at a high level in one of Europe’s major leagues and has also worked with Daniel Farke before.
He remains a regular for Switzerland, so Elvedi would add both experience and quality to Leeds’ defence. If the Whites get the deal over the line, it could prove to be another smart addition.
The 49ers have generally recruited well in recent seasons, and Elvedi could be the latest example. Leeds are clearly looking to improve on the squad that finished 14th last season, particularly with several Premier League rivals strengthening around them.
