Leeds United have had a great season, and that is down to the coach and the players. At a point, there was worry that the team could go down.
Leeds had a brief spell in the bottom three before getting a result to move out. Daniel Farke’s system switch brought the best out of the team as they went on a great run through January.
That run is one of the key reasons why the team managed to beat the drop late in the season.
The Whites owe a lot of their season to the recruitment they did in the summer. The team managed to bring in quality starters that provided immediate impact.
Jaka Bijol, Anton Stach, Gabriel Gudmundsson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were solid signings that proved to be key starters in the team.
Stan Collymore disagress with Leeds United fans over one player
But they were not alone; a core of players that got the team promoted also played their part in the Premier League. Most expected some players to be replaced in the team after reaching the top flight.
However, the likes of Ethan Ampadu, Pascal Struijk, Karl Darlow and Joe Rodon proved them wrong.
Leeds United fans will give most of their players a decent rating this season, but some will not be painted in a great light. And Brenden Aaronson is one of them – the midfielder has been heavily criticised this season.
Stan Collymore believes that the fans have been very unfair to the 25-year old, saying that he was ‘very good’ this season.
“Aaronson had a very good season.” he said on talkSPORT.
“A few Leeds fans were not sure about him.”

Brenden Aaronson is a polarizing figure at Elland Road
Depending on who you ask, Brenden Aaronson is a decent player, or should never be in the Leeds United lineup.
When the midfielder was not sold in the summer, there were groans from the fanbase. And he eventually made his way back into the lineup in the first few months of the season.
He did go on a great run to start the year when he scored three goals in January.
Fans may complain, but there is a reason why Daniel Farke trusts and continues to play him.
His work rate and versatility is very important to keep this team ticking, and sometimes fans must accept that instead of focusing on other things.
