Leeds United will be aiming to get another huge result when they return to Elland Road to face Arsenal this weekend. The Whites were very unlucky to get just a draw away to Everton on Monday night.
Finishing continues to be an issue for Daniel Farke’s side as they failed to capitalize after their first half dominance. The biggest chance of the game fell to Dominic Calvert-Lewin, but he failed to convert as Everton levelled the game late in the second half. The Whites did avoid a loss, but looking at the circumstances, fans would have taken the win.
West Ham won their game last week, and now the point gap between the two sides is at six points. And in the Premier League things can change really quickly, so when both sides clash on Saturday, there will be a lot on the table. Leeds will want to continue their climb to safety, while Arsenal will be looking to bounce back after dropping points in the title race.
Paul Merson gives verdict on Leeds United clash
English football pundit Paul Merson have his analysis on what he thinks will happen at Elland Road on Saturday. Surprisingly, he mentions that Arsenal will have a lot more on their minds considering their position in the title race. But he still backed Mikel Arteta’s side to win the match:
”This is Arsenal’s biggest game of the season.
”If they lose and the lead comes down to a single point, I don’t think they win the league! So this is a humungous game and I’m predicting a very crucial win for the visitors.”
When the two sides met at the start of the season, Daniel Farke’s side were embarrassed as the Gunners won by five goals at the Emirates Stadium.

Can Leeds pull off an upset?
Saturday will be a much different game from when the two sides met at the start of the season. Arsenal are a difficult opponent, but in recent weeks they have look susceptible; Manchester United beat them last weekend, and they struggled against a weak side in the Champions League midweek.
Leeds’ home form should not be discounted either; the last few games have seen huge results against Crystal Palace and Chelsea. The Gunners will be the favourites but teams who come to Elland Road never get an easy game, and Farke’s side will make sure of that this weekend.
