Leeds United have managed to pull themselves away from the relegation dogfight with some great results over the last few weeks. Heading into the final weeks of the season, fans can breathe easy.

Things were looking anxious when the Whites returned from the international break. They played last among the other relegation rivals, and were up against Manchester United at Old Trafford. But the team stood firm and delivered, getting a huge win away from home.

Since then, the Whites have gone on a four-game unbeaten run. This has lifted them to 43 points on the league table, and the club could clinch another season in the top flight if next week’s results go their way.

Tim Sherwood makes huge claim ahead of Leeds United game

Former Spurs manager Tim Sherwood and former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves were guests discussing results this weekend on the Weekend Wrap show by Premier League Productions.

”They play a home to Leeds next. They need to win this game.
So I’ll not get too carried away. Brilliant. Two back-to-back wins.
They need to beat Leeds in the next home game.” Tim Sherwood said.

Hargreaves added: ”They’ve had a dreadful season they’re still third, but their home form is 19th. It’s literally Jekyll and Hyde,

”and that has to change for them to stay in the league.” Sherwood said.

”and Tim makes a great point. They have to beat Leeds.” Hargreaves continued.

When the graphic about the relegation battle showing the upcoming fixtures of West Ham, Spurs and Forest, Tim Sherwood and Owen Hargreaves were asked about which team’s schedule they would rather have.

Hargreaves replied: ”Spurs have the easiest fixtures by far, and I think that that win today puts him in such an incredible position, but obviously even West Ham, you look at the games. Tim’s made a good point.”

Daniel Farke needs to be wary of Spurs threat

Leeds United will be up against a team desperate for points, with their Premier League survival on the line. Spurs have now put together back-to-back wins and will be full of confidence ahead of next Monday. Many would look at the London club’s home form and say Leeds stand a chance, but this is a much different Spurs side compared to the last couple of weeks. They are motivated and will be eager to get a result in front of their home crowd. Leeds already know the task ahead of them, and have been very focused during this run of games. Farke knows that a result clinches safety and will be up for the task.
