With Leeds United completing their first signing of the summer, the plan for the rest of the window has been evident. The Whites are looking to improve some specific areas of the squad.
An upgrade in each position in the spine of the team looks to be the priority. A new keeper will be signed, as Illan Meslier is being offered to clubs for sale. Udinese defender Jaka Bijol could be the latest arrival at Elland Road, with a deal set to be agreed soon.
Lukas Nmecha was added in attack, with Leeds badly needing some quality in that area of the pitch. The German will officially join the club next month, when his contract ends with Wolfsburg.

A midfielder is now on the list for the club. And a huge target has already been identified in Habib Diarra. Leeds officially made an approach last week, but no official bid has been submitted.
Diarra is reportedly very high on West Ham’s list this summer, but their PSR status means they need sales to even consider a move. Leeds are already in talks with Strasbourg to complete the deal.
President of the Ligue 1 club Marc Kelleher has already revealed that Habib Diarra will leave this summer:
“There’s one player who’s due to leave based on a promise I made to him two years ago: our captain, Diarra. When he extended his contract, we told him he was extending it, but that he wouldn’t leave until June 2025.” he said speaking to RMC.
“So if we get an interesting offer for him and for us, he could leave.”
Leeds should wrap up deal
The club is doing a great job adding quality this summer. Bolstering the ranks in the team will give Leeds a huge advantage heading into next season. Hopefully, the deal for Diarra is completed over the next week.
