Leeds United have announced their first signing of the summer as Harry Wilson joins on a four-year deal. The midfielder joined as a free agent after his contract with Fulham ended.

Leeds will be getting a quality Premier League player going into next season.

Daniel Farke also gets a flexible option who can play in midfield and attacking roles. Last season, Wilson had 11 goals and eight assists in all competitions for the London club.

Upon signing, the Welsh international revealed that he was keen on coming to Elland Road.

‘When the season finished and I became a free transfer, I felt Leeds were the team that really showed the interest in me. And as a player, you want to play for a team which you feel like they want you and you feel like they are doing everything to get you. Speaking with the Welsh boys, I think it was pretty clear that this was the place that I wanted to come.”

Leeds United flop could leave Elland Road this summer

Wilson’s arrival follows the first major business Leeds United did – selling Pascal Struijk to Brighton.

The defender was in the last year of his deal, and was keen on a new challenge, pushing the club to accept Brighton’s offer. PSR was also one of the reasons the transfer was wrapped up quickly.

A lot of first team players could follow this summer, as Leeds plan on signing five or six players.

Per Gianluca Di Marzio, Torino are in the market for a new goalkeeper, and Lucas Perri is on their shortlist. The club have been pursuing Paraguay World Cup star Orlando Gill, but if they fail to get him then Perri could be an option.

Which keeper do Leeds sign this summer?

Karl Darlow does not look like he will return to Elland Road, but there is still time for him to decide.

Perri remains the only first team keeper under contract at the club.

With pre season in the coming months, Leeds must try and get a keeper through the door. The squad has gone from four keepers last season to just one keeper under contract in July.

Many targets have been linked in the past few weeks, including Zion Suzuki and Jacob Zetterstrom.

The 49ers have to do everything it takes to get one keeper through the door before the situation becomes a real problem.
