Leeds United took a huge step towards securing their safety in the top flight with their result this week. They now have 40 points and are definitely out of the relegation race.

Daniel Farke says his side will continue trying to get more points as they are not mathematically safe. But getting the draw away to Bournemouth has handed them a massive boost heading into their final games of the season. This campaign has surprised a lot of onlookers, considering that many tipped Leeds to get relegated even before the season began. But Farke and the players have done a fantastic job and are on the brink of securing another season in the Premier League.

Leeds target could snub Brighton for Elland Road move

Leeds beat Wolves 3-0 at Elland Road over the weekend, and reports emerged that the Whites developed interest in a possible transfer. News revealed that Ladislav Krejci could be a summer target for the 49ers. The left center back has been a standout for his side even though they got relegated. Reports suggest that Leeds have made contact with the player’s representative and that he is open to a move.

TEAMtalk have reported that even with the interest from Brighton, officials at Elland Road are confident that the defender could be the first signing of the summer. There have been ”positive” talks between the two parties in recent days. Leeds are convinced that personal terms will not be an issue come the end of the season. Krejci is will complete a £26 move to England as part of the loan agreement with Wolves, but has a relegation release clause in his contract.

49ers adding serious depth ahead of next season

When Joe Rodon went down with an injury late last year, the club scrambled to get a replacement outside Sebastiaan Bornauw. Daniel Farke has also resorted to using James Justin in the right center back role also. The Whites are a bit light when they lose one defender, considering Farke prefers a back three. And getting into the summer, reports suggest teams could be interested in Pascal Struijk.

Ladislav Krejci is left footed defender and will fit into the role if Struijk does decide to leave. The Czech international is a very good player, and Brighton pursuing him shows the quality he possesses. If the 49ers can pull off a deal, it would be a huge coup.
