Leeds United managed to win their first Premier League game of the season against Nottingham Forest. The match looked destined to end in a stalemate before the final 10 minutes of the game.
Anton Stach stepped up and scored a free kick from range, beating the keeper at his near post.
The second half in particular was very tense from Leeds as they had to weather the storm as Forest relentlessly attacked.
Daniel Farke’s men managed to leave with the three points but the performance on the pitch was not convincing. Fans enjoyed the result as seen in the post-match celebrations.
Beating Forest raised more questions than answers after the game.

During the match, the statistics showed that Leeds United had a clear problem in attack.
In the 90 minutes, Farke’s side produced just 11 shots – three coming from attacking players, with Calvert-Lewin taking all three shots. No other attacker on the pitch produced more than one.
The last week has seen the 49ers show interest in signing a winger.
Chelsea’s Mykhailo Mudryk seemed very high on the list. The Blues rejected the initial loan offer for the Ukraine international, but talks continued over the weekend.
On Monday, it was reported that Chelsea ended talks.
But Mudryk is said to prefer to remain in the Premier League, with a move to Elland Road in his sights.

Ben Jacobs provided an update later in the day claiming that for Leeds United to have any chance of completing the transfer, they would have to meet some conditions.
Improving the terms of the loan offer is one of the conditions, and the other is guaranteeing playing time for Mudryk.
If these two factors are improved, then a deal can be revived. There are eight days remaining in this summer transfer window and the 49ers have some business to complete.

How would Mudryk fit into Daniel Farke’s side?
Mykhailo Mudryk is a left winger, and if he is signed, it would mean he would play a lot of minutes.
But that also means Noah Okafor would have direct competition. However, with the current Leeds setup, both players can be utilized in the same system going forward.
Okafor can play in that supporting role behind Calvert-Lewin, while Mudryk takes the other spot and drifts more to the left.
There are a number of ways Farke can accommodate both players, and the Chelsea man would actually be a beneficial piece in this attack. Last year, Dan James and Willy Gnonto were not impactful in their roles.
So adding a player who can score and create will help the team overall.
