Leeds United kicked off their Premier League campaign with a huge win over Nottingham Forest on Saturday. It was a hard fought result to get all three points away from home.
The match was evenly contested for most of the 90 minutes.
Both sides cancelled each other out, with most of the best chances coming from dead ball situations.
Oliver Glasner’s side grew into the game in the second half, but failed to capitalise. Leeds broke the deadlock late in the game, when Anton Stach scored an incredible free kick.
Daniel Farke’s side held on to secure the result.
Daniel Farke confirms injury news ahead of Leeds United clash
Leeds United will face Forest again midweek, this time in the League Cup.
The match on Tuesday night will also take place at the City Ground.
In Monday’s press conference, Daniel Farke delivered injury updates on players in the first team. He confirmed that almost everyone that was available on Saturday will be there for the next game.
“So for that, I expect more or less to have the same players available like it was also for the last game.
“If someone is struggling a bit with recovering quick enough in order to start perhaps the game again or for many minutes, we will see, but so far it seems like no new injuries.”
Ilia Gruev, Willy Gnonto and Gabriel Gudmundsson will not feature in the game.
Farke confirmed that Gruev is back in training, but Tuesday night is too soon for him to return to first team action.
“Ilia was partly integrated in the last week,” Farke added. “He was then fully back in team training which is definitely, definitely good news. This game comes a bit too soon for him.”
He also gave updates on Gudmundsson and Gnonto.
“Gabi and Willy are not in training. We don’t expect them to be out for too long, not training yet.”
