With Leeds United being linked with a move for an attacker, Mykhailo Mudryk was the name that emerged. Adam Pope revealed that the Chelsea winger was part of a list of targets.
But over the last 24 hours, it has shown that Mudryk was the priority.
Leeds had their initial loan offer rejected, and as of Monday, Chelsea have decided to end talks. They have ruled out Elland Road as a destination for the 25-year old winger this summer.
Ben Jacobs provided an update, revealing that a move could still be revived.
If the Whites are able to offer better terms for the loan deal and can guarantee more playing time, a move for Mudryk can be revived in the final days of the transfer window.
Leeds United in talks over surprise move
News has emerged on Tuesday that a winger is not the only attacking player on the radar for Leeds United.
A new striker has been among the club’s targets this summer, but it looks like the team are now intensifying their search. Graham Smyth did state that the 49ers want a younger profile that can compete with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
And with the departure of Joel Piroe, the need for another striker has increased.

Tipsbladet football correspondent Farzam Abolhosseini has reported that Leeds United are interested in a move for RB Liepzig striker Conrad Harder. The 21-year old joined the Bundesliga side for £25 million last year.
Leeds have engage the Dane’s representatives in talks over a move.
However, they are not the only team interested – Lazio have made a loan offer, and Galatasaray have been linked.
It is unclear if the Whites will pursue a permanent deal or a loan move for the striker.

Would be a smart move for the 49ers
A striker remains something the team need going forward.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal drought earlier this year was alarming, as the team posed almost zero threat when he was not in form.
Lukas Nmecha is a solid squad player who can chip in with goals, but Leeds need a striker who can also contribute like a starter. Conrad Harder ticks the boxes Graham Smyth mentioned earlier this summer.
He is young and can compete for a starting spot.
An extra body in the position will be very beneficial to Daniel Farke’s side over the course of a season.
Never heard of him. Not sure Leeds know where to go next in this window. Expecting a very quiet end to the window.
WHO ?????
Smacks of bs or total desperation. If Leeds are reduced to bringing in players out of desperation then there is something wrong at Elland Road and the fans need to start challenging the supposed “ambitions” of Marathe and Co
