Daniel Farke mentioned that he was pleased with the business Leeds United had done in this summer window. But he did mention that he hopes the club would push for more additions.

Nico Elvedi is the latest arrival at Elland Road, with the defender coming in to replace Sebastiaan Bornauw.

Leeds have signed four players in this window, with three of them being a part of the back five/six. James Trafford, Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi are all additions to the backline.

Harry Wilson remains the only signing for the midfield and attack.

The 49er are definitely keen on strengthening other areas as seen in their pursuit of Shea Charles and Julian Brandt.

Adam Pope shares latest on Leeds United target

Leeds United have emerged as surprise suitors for Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk.

The Whites are said to be keen on a loan move for the winger, who recently returned to action after a doping ban.

Adam Pope has confirmed that the club are targeting wingers, with the Ukraine international one of the multiple options linked. He also gave details on the latest transfer link to Elland Road.

”On the winger front Johnny, they have been linked with several players. The name that has popped up most recently is Mudryk at Chelsea.” Pope said on the Don’t Go to Bed yet podcast.

”He’s come back from the ban, he’s had an 18-month pre-season effectively.”

”The thing with Chelsea is that they have Strasbourg so there is a thought that maybe he could end up there.”

”But I’d imagine he would want to be in the Premier League. And I’m thinking from a Chelsea point of view; wouldn’t you want a loan fee? Somebody to take off the wages and get him out of the football group and get a player fit at a club that they feel would not be a direct rival.”

”I would imagine that he wants to come here.”

Where else could the club strengthen?

Adding an attacker will be crucial; Leeds lacked options off the bench last year.

Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto were almost non-existent and provided little to no spark off the bench in close games.

Leeds may also go after a left back, especially with the recent injuries to Gabriel Gudmundsson. The Swedish international will be out for the Premier League opener against Nottingham Forest.

And per reports, a striker could be on the shortlist too.

Graham Smyth revealed that the 49ers would like a young striker who can compete with Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Adam you normally talk a lot of sense, this story is ridiculous. We have less chance of this then getting the Leao deal done. This is a load of baggage and attention we don’t need.

A lot of agent talk stirring the waters. Farke would be harder to convince than the people that imposed the ban on Mudryk. Farke also doesn’t like loan players.
