The 49ers have done an incredible job with Leeds United exits this summer. The club’s ownership have been frequently criticized over how they have handled some situations.
A perfect instance was last summer’s transfer window.
Leeds needed to get rid of a few players from the first team squad, but only managed to offload most of them on loan deals. And unfortunately for the Whites, none of the clubs triggered their buy options.
Max Wober, Isaac Schmidt, Joe Gelhardt and Jack Harrison among other players returned to Elland Road following the end of the season.
But the 49ers have done a much better job handling departures in this window.
Leeds United announcement paves way for first team star
Their first few transfers involved the sales of Pascal Struijk and Isaac Schmidt.
Leeds United also managed to get Hull City to pay a decent fee for Joe Gelhardt, who had not been in Daniel Farke’s plans for the last few years.
The club resorted to letting Max Wober go for free after terminating his contract. Wober was one of the highest earners at the club, and letting him leave for free was the best decision given his market value.
There are also deals in place for Sebastiaan Bornauw and Joel Piroe, who could both leave permanently next summer.
Largie Ramazani has been a name that has been mentioned all summer. The winger was away on loan at Valencia last year; his omission from the pre-season trip to the US sealed his fate.
The Belgian is expected to sort out his future before the deadline.

With just over 24 hours left till Leeds kick off their Premier League campaign, the club have announced their jersey numbers.
James Trafford takes the number one, with new signing Tarik Muharemovic taking the number five. New signing Harry Wilson will wear the number 10 this season.
One notable absentee is Ramazani, who was not assigned a jersey number for the campaign.

Largie Ramazani’s exit all but confirmed
With the winger having been left out of pre-season and now not being given a squad number, his Leeds United future is sealed.
He has been away all summer training on his own, with his future still uncertain.
La Liga side Valencia are favourites to sign him, but nothing has been confirmed. Per reports in Spain, the club are now deciding on whether to make a concrete move for the 25-year old.
But one thing is certain, he will not be in action at Elland Road this season.
