Keith Andrews will take his Brentford side to Elland Road on Saturday to face Leeds United in a clash that could have significant implications for the Premier League table.

Leeds have picked up just one point from their last three matches but remain 15th, sitting three points clear of the relegation zone. They will be desperate for a home win to relieve some of the mounting pressure.

Brentford, meanwhile, are pushing for European qualification and currently sit seventh in the table. However, they let a two-goal lead slip in their last outing, drawing 2–2 at home to Wolves on Monday night.

Keith Andrews was not happy with how his team threw away points at home. However, he is now concerned that he could also be missing a major player against Leeds.

The Brentford manager confirms injury blow ahead of Leeds clash

Brentford are within touching distance of Champions League football. However, they squandered a win at home on Monday night and will now travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds.

Andrews is worried about the way his team found a way to draw the game against Wolves despite having a two-goal lead.

However, the Brentford boss is now worried that he could be without Mikkel Damsgaard for the clash against Leeds on Saturday evening.

Damsgaard picked up a knock in the second half before getting substituted.

Andrews is concerned and revealed that the midfielder has already played through a lot of pain this season.

Andrews was quoted as saying by the West London Sport: “He will be a concern, and I haven’t spoken to the medics yet.

“He had an injury a few weeks ago against Forest. It has been frustrating, and he has played throughout a lot of pain, so we have to see how he is.”

The Whites need to take advantage of Brentford

Leeds have managed to stay three points clear of the relegation zone despite picking up just one point from their last three Premier League matches.

However, they can’t rely on the teams below them continuing to slip up and will need a win soon to settle the growing nerves around Elland Road.

Brentford are chasing European football, although they could be without Damsgaard, and Elland Road has proved a difficult place to visit for even top-half sides this season.

Leeds know how important this game is, and three points on Saturday could be crucial in their bid to secure Premier League survival for another year.
