Che Adams on Leeds United radar – Phil Hay

According to Phil Hay, Leeds are looking at the possibility of signing Southampton striker Che Adams.

Victor Orta and Jesse Marsch have highlighted left back and a new forward as priorities for the January window, and Phil Hay says Che Adams is an option:

“Never totally discount Southampton forward Che Adams, either — he’s been discussed at Elland Road before.”

Adams has scored 4 goals for Southampton this season, more than Patrick Bamford this season.

Lack of forward options

With Patrick Bamford’s fitness issues, a backup forward might be needed in the squad. Leeds have a lot of young talent in wide areas, but none of them are ready to take up the striking role in the first team yet. Rodrigo Moreno might be Leeds’ only first team striker for the rest of December.

The Spaniard has been in form so far, scoring 9 goals in 13 games in the league.
