Leeds United are in action midweek, as they play Bournemouth in the Premier League. Daniel Farke’s side could hit the 40 point mark if they manage to get a result at the Vitality Stadium.

But it will not be an easy game as the Cherries are currently on a 13-game unbeaten streak. Andoni Iraola’s side have beaten Newcastle United and Chelsea in back-to-back games. Leeds will hope they have enough in the tank to get something out of the game on Wednesday night. The Whites are unbeaten in their last four away league games and will be buoyed with their last win on the road at Old Trafford.

Chelsea suffer injury blow ahead of FA Cup clash with Leeds

Aside the midweek Premier League clash, Daniel Farke’s men are preparing for their FA Cup semi-final this weekend. The Whites will face Chelsea at Wembley for a place in the final. Ahead of the tie, Blues boss Liam Rosenior has confirmed that his side have been dealt a blow. Cole Palmer has picked up a knock and missed out on the squad to face Brighton on Tuesday night.

“Cole’s had some tightness in his hamstring which he’s been carrying for a while so he’s going to be out for this game and we’ll see how he moves on for this FA Cup semi-final.” Rosenior said to Sky Sports.

At this time, it is not confirmed if Cole Palmer will recover in time to face Leeds at Wembley. Striker Joao Pedro was also absent from Chelsea’s matchday squad on Tuesday night.

Leeds will be full of confidence ahead of this weekend

Everything looks to be falling in place for the Whites. Cole Palmer picking up a knock for Chelsea could see the playmaker miss out on the semifinal. Things have not been going well for the Blues and Liam Rosenior in the past few weeks. The Chelsea boss is under pressure as the team is not performing; which means they will have a burden on their shoulders heading into this weekend’s tie.

Leeds on the other hand, have no pressure on them as they have less to lose. They have reached an FA Cup tie at Wembley, which will please the fans, everything after will just be a huge bonus. The aim this year was for Premier League survival and Daniel Farke looks set to hit that target by the end of the campaign.
