Leeds United will be buoyed by their win at Elland Road on Saturday. Their result against Wolves has seen the club go eight points clear of the relegation zone.
There are still five games to go in the Premier League, but the Whites have put themselves in the driving seat to avoid the drop. Things have changed pretty quickly over the past few weeks. After West Ham and Forest got huge results over the past few weeks, the pressure was on for Daniel Farke and his men.
The Whites have two games in the next seven days, starting with a game against Bournemouth. Another result could push the club closer to safety, but they will have to find a way pass Andoni Iraola’s impressive Cherries side.
Liam Rosenior sent ‘warning’ ahead of Leeds United FA Cup clash
Leeds United meet Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final this weekend, but both sides have games midweek. With the Blues in poor form, Ally McCoist has said on talkSPORT that Liam Rosenior could be sacked if the club fail to reach the FA Cup final.
“I feel for Liam Rosenior. I feel the FA Cup is keeping him in a job.”
“If they were to lose to Leeds, I would fear for him, but it’s an incredibly difficult situation.
“But one thing that worries me is that they haven’t got a massive number of injuries, but I am looking at the squad that has been assembled there and how poor it is and wondering could Chelsea be next season’s Tottenham?”

Can the Whites make the FA Cup final?
It would depend on a lot of factors, but Daniel Farke’s men should have some confidence going into the game. Bournemouth will be a tough test midweek, but seeing how well Leeds do against ‘bigger’ sides, there is hope. Chelsea have won just one of their last seven games in all competitions, and are coming off a loss to Manchester United this past weekend.
| Opponent | Result |
|---|---|
| Everton | 3-0 L |
| Port Vale | 7-0 W |
| Manchester City | 3-0 L |
| Manchester United | 1-0 L |
Morale is low around the London club, and their team are not in form. Leeds United can manage a result at Wembley if they show up. But a lot of it will depend on the team Farke picks between the now and the weekend. If everybody is fit and available the Whites stand a fighting chance. But fans should be wary of Chelsea; with their season seemingly going downhill, a possible final berth and a cup win could change things significantly.
