Leeds United will finally play a Premier League game for the first time since they were relegated in 2023. The fans are excited and the team look prepared ahead of the opener.
The Whites completed their pre-season friendlies unbeaten, after facing the likes of Manchester United, Villarreal and AC Milan. Leeds have held their own defensively, but Daniel Farke has had a problem with their attack. The team has lacked some cutting edge in these areas, and Farke has urged the team to add reinforcements.
Some positive news ahead of the game is that Leeds are finalizing a deal to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin as a free agent.

Leeds United injury update on Jayden Bogle

Leeds defender Jayden Bogle had missed the last two pre-season games with a knock. Isaac Schmidt deputized for the right back in those games. Daniel Farke said Bogle would be fit enough to train this week ahead of the Everton game.
In Friday’s press conference, Farke hinted that it will be a late decision on the right back’s availability:
”It will be a late decision on Jayden. He was outstanding last season for us and pre-season as well, but he’s been out for two and a half weeks with his injury. He was part integrated into team training for the first time on Wednesday. This afternoon he will join us in team training, first time for the full session. It depends how his body reacts. Thank God we have four more sessions and then we will see. If he comes though these four sessions he’s a topic for the squad. For how many minutes we’ll see. His overall fitness is on a top level because he played so many games, had a good pre-season, not ideal, been out for two and a half weeks but still a good chance for Monday.” (quotes via YEP).
Isaac Schmidt could be called into action once again
Having filled in at right back for the last two games, Isaac Schmidt could be set for a shock start on Monday night if Jayden Bogle is not able to make it in time.
It will be a very interesting prospect considering his current situation with the Werder Bremen loan deal.
