Harry Wilson has reached an agreement over a contract to join Leeds United this summer on a free transfer once his Fulham deal expires at the end of the month.
Leeds are now planning to put him through a medical soon and take the deal over the line. Wilson has been a top target this summer, and the club are now on the verge of signing him.
The club’s offer of a long-term contract on big wages impressed the winger, and the Welsh contingent at Elland Road convinced him to move to Yorkshire.
However, he has yet to sign on the dotted line with Leeds, and Aston Villa are still pushing to turn his head towards moving to the Midlands this summer.

Aston Villa push to hijack Leeds’ deal for Harry Wilson
Aston Villa are amongst the clubs that have shown an interest in the 29-year-old winger in the ongoing summer transfer window.
Leeds believe they have the deal in their bag, and are now waiting to put him through a medical before formalising the terms of the agreement.
However, according to The Times, Aston Villa believe they are still not out of the race to sign the Wales international in the ongoing transfer window.
Leeds have reached a verbal agreement with Wilson, but he has yet to sign anything and is still to undergo a medical with the club.
Villa are still pushing and are hopeful that the lure of playing in the Champions League could still turn his head towards moving to the Midlands.
Leeds are in the driver’s seat after agreeing terms with Wilson. However, nothing has been signed yet, and that keeps Villa in play.
The Whites do not want this agreement to collapse and have kept a private jet on standby to fly Wilson to Yorkshire and take the deal over the line soon.
Leeds need to get this done soon
With Wilson yet to undergo a medical and sign on the dotted line, Leeds cannot afford to relax and put their guard down in the transfer saga.
Aston Villa’s offer of Champions League football could still play a major role if Harry Wilson has a last-minute change of heart in the coming days.
Leeds must ensure that the winger is at Thorp Arch soon to undergo a medical and sign a contract with the club as soon as possible.
They have done all the hard to work of selling a move to Leeds to Wilson and convincing him to agree to the transfer this summer.
The Whites cannot allow Villa to barge in and hijack the deal at this late stage.
What a load of absolute waffle. If Villa were interested he would be off there 100%. CL football, likely challenging for top 6 again and competing in the domestic cups. Although Leeds will likely stay up again, anything inside the 10 top is a miracle.
Leeds played some of the best football in the premier league last season even though they were a newly promoted team. Aston Villa WERE after Wilson but he chose to go to a bigger club, LEEDS UTD ! A miracle to get into the first 10 you say ? We’l have to wait and see wont we !!!! If Leeds DO break into the top 10 next season lets hope you the balls to come back on this site to eat your share of humble pie !
