Leeds United have wrapped up their latest arrival as Nico Elvedi joins the club from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach. The reason for the deal was revealed this week.
Daniel Farke admitted that Sebastiaan Bornauw wanted to play more minutes and asked to leave when another club came calling.
HSV have now signed the Belgian defender on a season-long loan with an option to buy. Elvedi’s arrival opened the door for the 27-year old to complete his move to Germany.
The club have now added key additions to the spine of the team.
James Trafford is the new number one, and Tarik Muharemovic and Nico Elvedi bolster the backline. Harry Wilson is also a fantastic addition to the frontline.
Leeds United agree transfer deal
Trafford arriving meant Leeds United had to sanction a move for Lucas Perri.
The Italian keeper was benched during last season and lost his place under Daniel Farke. So the 49ers have been in the market trying to find a backup goalkeeper for their latest signing.
According to The Athletic, Leeds have now found one.
Beren Cross reports that the Whites have agreed a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt keeper Michael Zetterer.
Leeds United nearing agreement in principle with Eintracht Frankfurt for their goalkeeper Michael Zetterer. Would arrive as deputy for James Trafford.
Dominoes need to fall, but confidence he is likely to be United’s new No 2.

Deal is not straightforward
Despite the report from The Athletic, a lot of things need to happen for this transfer to go through.
First of all, Frankfurt have to complete a deal to sign a replacement for Zetterer in order to allow the keeper to join Leeds.
Leeds also have to hope the transfer for Lucas Perri goes through. The Italian is currently waiting for his transfer to be formalize; reports from Turin have claimed that Torino president Ubrano Cairo is yet to give the go-ahead.
Perri has waited weeks for this transfer, which has been delayed already.
His finger injury had to heal, which pushed back his medical and Marseille tried to hijack the move and failed.
Leeds United will be hoping everything goes right and the transfers will be completed in the coming days.
Lucas Perri is not Italian, But fair play to you. You were close.
