Leeds United have not been strangers to the free agent market that has served them very well recently. The club have benefitted greatly from some of the free transfers that arrived at Elland Road.
The Whites found a solid backup at left back when they re-signed Sam Byram.
Daniel Farke decided to give his former player a chance, with Byram excelling as the backup and even started a lot of games.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha are also perfect examples in this mould. Many Leeds fans complained last summer when it seemed like the club lacked options at center forward.
The duo were brought in as free agents and had a great impact on the season, combining for over 20 goals in all competitions.
This summer, the Whites have already landed a big name free agent in Harry Wilson.
Leeds United still waiting on transfer decision
Leeds United won the race for the attacking midfielder over the likes of Aston Villa and Everton.
Wilson was a big hit last season for Fulham, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists in all competitions. He will be a quality addition to a Leeds attack that failed to impress at times last year.
Leeds are after another free agent this summer in Julian Brandt.
The German has already visited Thorp Arch to discuss a potential move this summer. Per reports, he has a contract offer on the table, and is said to be leaning towards a move to England.
Sky Deutschland are reporting that a deal has not been agreed yet between Leeds and Brandt. Daniel Farke is said to be pushing for the move to go through.
Per the information from Sky, Farke sees the 30-year old as a ‘leader’ in the first team. Brandt’s quality and experience are the intangibles that Farke wants to rely on going into next season.

Harry Wilson decision could convince Julian Brandt
The former Borussia Dortmund captain is yet to make a decision over his future.
And that is fair, given that he has received other offers from clubs across Europe. But if Julian Brandt wants to be convinced about a move to Elland Road, then he should look no further than Harry Wilson.
When Wilson signed, he mentioned that he wanted a move to a club that ‘wanted’ him, making Elland Road the perfect destination.
Leeds are a project that has shown signs of success, and this summer could see them make huge strides. It would be an ideal place for someone like Brandt, who would fit in well with the team and the coach.
The 49ers need to get this deal across the line soon.
